Vancouver Writers Fest Incite Reading: Hot Reads for Chilly Nights

Lists of recommended books abound at the beginning of the year—perfect for whiling away the season’s evenings. Join us to discover your next three top reads. Éric Dupont (Songs for the Cold of Heart), 2018 Scotiabank Giller Prize Nominee, Jen Neale (Land Mammals and Sea Creatures), local debut novelist shortlisted for the 2018 Rogers Writers Trust Fiction Award, and Ian Williams(Reproduction), winner of the Griffin Poetry Prize and a Creative Writing Professor at UBC, will read from their works and delve into stories behind their character-rich family sagas with host, author Shaena Lambert.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars, because the 2019 Incite reading series season is officially in full swing! On every second and fourth Wednesday until May, the Vancouver Writers Fest and Vancouver Public Library will offer free evening events in the Alice MacKay Room at VPL’s downtown branch – recently remodeled with a stunning rooftop garden to lounge in with friends before attending Incite when the weather turns to Spring.

This February, Vancouver Writers Fest is delighted to offer events featuring highly-acclaimed authors Éric DupontJen Neale and Ian Williams on Wednesday, February 6 and Samra Zafar and Darrel J. McLeod on Wednesday, February 20.
